Antover P. Tuliao, PhD
Antover Tuliao is an assistant professor of addictive disorders and recovery studies in the Community, Family, and Addiction Sciences, Texas Tech University. Under the guidance of Dennis E. McChargue PhD, Dr. Tuliao received his PhD in Clinical Psychology (APA-accredited) with an emphasis in Quantitative Methods from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. He also completed his APA-accredited internship at the University of Washington Medical Center, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. Prior to joining Texas Tech University, Antover was a Lecturer at the Ateneo De Manila University Psychology Department, where he also received his Masters in Counseling Psychology. In addition, Dr. Tuliao has been actively involved in therapy with individuals with substance use issues.
Graduate Students
Natira Mullet is a doctoral student at Texas Tech University in the department of Community, Family and Addiction Sciences emphasizing in Marriage and Family Therapy. She completed her associates of science at Garden City Community College in mathematics before receiving her bachelors of science from Kansas State University in psychology and pre-medicine. Natira completed her master’s of science in Couple and Family Therapy at Kansas State University. During that time, she also received two graduate certificates in Financial Therapy and Gender, Women, and Sexuality Studies. Currently Natira is a graduate teaching assistant in the CFAS department. Her research interests include both qualitative and quantitative methods to study how substance use, medical issues, and mental health intersect with social justice topics. Natira has conducted therapy with clients dealing with substance use and has also received training in EMDR specific to substance use and compulsive behaviors.

Lindsey Hawkins is a doctoral student at Texas Tech University in the department of Community, Family, and Addiction Sciences with an emphasis in Couple, Marriage, and Family Therapy. She completed her bachelors of science from Texas A&M University in psychology. Lindsey completed her master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy at Abilene Christian University. Currently, Lindsey is a graduate part-time instructor in the CFAS department. Her research interests include both qualitative and quantitative methods to study how substance use, chronic illness, and mental health intersect with trauma, specifically sexual abuse. Lindsey also currently conducts therapy with clients dealing with substance use and has also received training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) specific to working with sexual abuse.
